The key to a wonderful fulfilled life lies in a balance of lifestyle choices between mind, body, heart and soul.  This holistic approach requires us to look at the bigger picture.

The Mind

Put your mind where your heart is and your heart where your dreams are, then dream with your heart.  Follow those dreams and the universe will shift the stars for you. You can change the world.

Exercise your mind, challenge yourself and those you love.  Do brain teasers, or riddles, puzzles, quizzes and games.  Switch off all electronic gadgets and play mind challenging games.  The interactions will leave your mind energized.

Sleep.  A foggy mind makes cloudy decisions.  Early to bed early to rise. Switch off that TV or computer and get a full night’s rest to rejuvenate.  When you sleep deeply you will wake up energized and ready to pursue your passions with vigor.

Happiness is the key to success.  Positive affirmations that suggest solutions create a mind-set for the day.  Treat every day as a fun-packed adventure. Chose to be around positive, energy-filled people.  This is s a mind-blowing choice!

Chill out!  Stress and worry will kill you!  Look at the funny side of things it puts the situation in perspective.  Put aside the issues, which are out of your control. Now be proactive, take each issue and put it in perspective.  Develop a plan of action with reasonable expectations and most importantly take action!

Break an obsession.  Are you hooked?  Obsessions start in the mind.  They are a great idea, a cause, a game an action or an emotion that eventually totally takes over at the expense of everything else.  The first step is to realize you are hooked. Whatever the hook, it will not be easy to get over. Look at the cause and take pride in your action; one determined step at a time to freedom from an obsession.  You can do it!

You are a dazzling star!  Let failure be the first stepping-stone to success!  Learn from mistakes, even when the clouds obscure the stars, they are still there, dazzlingly bright as ever, just like your starry self.

Quiet the chattering mind, to achieve harmony of the mind.  For some this is yoga, meditation, gardening or a hobby.  Whatever works for you make sure you put some time aside for peace and tranquility.

Practice concentration.  Get comfy, start with something simple.  Count backwards from one hundred to one, or ponder the meaning of a inspiring word and all its uses.

The Body

Eat right, exercise, relax, shower, wash those hands often and get a full nights rest to energize and maintain your body’s health.  It is that simple. Don’t obsess on a singular area remember, “You are cool, because you are you!  Now isn’t it fun to be a remarkable you?

The Heart

Be happy!  People that effervesce happiness and kindness are contagious.  We want to be around them. They make us smile on a rainy day, laugh our worries away, their words of encouragement lift our heavy hearts.  The gift of joy they spread comes straight from the heart.

Attitude is contagious.  When you smile and are full of joy, you become the sunshine in every ones day.  Your heart touches their soul. The kind acts we do from the heart are gifts of love, a smile, a nod a gift of good cheer, a simple, “Hello!”  It may seem old fashioned to be polite but simple greetings and acts of kindness spread joy, ripples in the sands of time.

The Soul

Do things for yourself and other from simple acts of cutting flowers in the garden, taking a stroll hand in hand with someone you love, to watching great funny movie that makes you laugh from your gut.

Take care of your souls spiritual needs and work to create your inner spiritual joy.

Laugh hysterically out loud.  Do this with your family together, you won’t be able to stop.  It feels wonderful!

Live your values and beliefs it brings your spirit joy.

Banish animosity.  Put down your mental baggage, forgive and move on.

Replace hate with love.  You will be amazed at the results and will feel great.

Love life with passion, make your spirit sing, your heart flutter, its joy touches those around you.

Balance your, mind, body, heart and soul.   Put a limit on work hours, dream, play, socialize.  Put down the phone the electronic gadgets and focus on your life.

Simple ways to find serenity.   “Gardening is a distraction from the chaos of our everyday environment so it decreases stress levels.”  Don’t like digging in the dirt? Any hobby or activity that allows you to escape the everyday and live in the moment is good for the soul. Go ahead and take a deep long breath, hold for ten seconds, release and repeat.
