As you said your aim is to be an engineer. But wait brother, you have just completed your SLC, and after sometime you may change your aim. I have seen a lot of students who have changed their aim. Now let’s talk about diploma in engineering. It is three years course whereas +2 is of 2 years. Any, after sometime you want study another course rather than engineering then you will have problem if you do diploma in engineering. What I suggest you is complete your +2 from good college and then join engineering entrance preparation class and go for engineering degree. Thank You

Dear student, if you have aim to become an engineer with no doubts then you can choose overseer engineering after SLc in Nepal and overseer is a technical line in which to complete diploma course also you have to study 3 years. But everything is changeable so if after getting admission in overseer engineering any new and efficient time of engineer course will come thatyou are actually want to study then there willbe no option for you except loosing your study years.so, I will suggest you to study +2 in science and study measure math in second year and then study Bachelor’s in Engineeering after getting good marks in +2 and also you can choose any other technical course if you want at that time. Hence, +2 in science opens every door of career. so you can choose every field after completing +2. There are many colleges in Nepal specially in Kathmandu you can get quality education as well as you can apply in Purbanchal University which is well known University for Engineering as well as for Medical line also.

since you hav good percentage in your slc i suggest you to join +2 education rather than diploma course.because if you entered engineering through diploma, u will loss one year to do your bachelor but if u did +2 first then u can enter the bachelor after 2 year of +2 study.so that u can prepare good for entrance exam and try to get scholarship in top campus of the country.

    Hi,
I will just have my results of my SLC and I am sure enough to get good grades. What I really wanted to know was what really are the differences in the engineering after +2 and after Diploma in Engineering done after SLC. I know there comes an age difference. But which is the priority to be thought for because I see people thinking of Engineering after +2 to be great but I think Bachelors after Diploma provides a much greater field experience. What do you people think my StudentNepal members ?

Rijan Shahi you don’t have to be worried if you pass the SLC in more than 45% but now in grade system you can convert 45% in grade. This is the qualification for overseer engineering. You just have to pass the SLC first.
