I am studying Nursing in Nepal. I think it is better to study in abroad if you are thinkung of going abroad like most of the nurses. I think you can get scholarships also in Australia. hamro college ko jounior baini haru gako cha scholarship ma Australia. Bidesh jane soch banako vaye scholarship ma apply garera bidesh mai padna suggest garchu ma ta. Plus you may search job easily if you return in Nepal also. But I am also not sure how good is Nepal for nurses, heard that hospitals of Nepal dont pay much to nurses.

I would suggest abroad if you can get visa. But I think it is difficult to get visa for nursing after plus 2. I am doing nursing here in Nepal and don’t like anything here. Salary is also too low after working night shift also plus there is a lot of comprtition. teachers are also freshers who just completed nursing. So I would strongly suggest you to apply abroad if other things don’t matter you like finance, home sickness etc. I will also apply for abroad as soon as I complete my bachelors degree.

Nursing course in Nepal is not easy to study. But in Nepal, nurses get more time to do practicals. To study Nursing in Nepal is maybe of low cost but the students can get more experiences than the theories which help the students to do best on their field. And also the payment of nurses in hospitals is decided according to the hospital. In some hospitals like SGNHC, they pay about 28,000 nrs per month for a staff nurse. a senior nurse makes more which is a government hospital. MMCVTVC pays 34,000 per month. The working hours are long –and more $$$ allowance comes with shift work etc. these are the most desirable jobs in Kathmandu. Norvic Hospital for staff nurse payment average is 10,000 nrs per month, Bir Hospital pays 17,000 to 18,000 depends on shift. Om pays 18,000 nrs per month, Patan Hospital pay 22,000. Being a nursing faculty pays nrs 2,000 to 13,000 for beginning faculty, this goes higher if the person has experience. While nursing in abroad is quite difficult through financially as well as mentally also. In abroad nurses are not paid at first they have to work as volunteer in every foreign country. Although, nurses have to struggle a bit to settle in abroad. To study in abroad nurses should apply for scholarships at first else it will be difficult to pay the expenses of universities. Except these things if you are willing to go to abroad for nursing then according to education you can choose abroad but their won’t be more practical hours.
